The redevelopment of Alameda point is an historic opportunity to improve Alameda. The planning process so far has been inclusive and should remain so. As the planning continues we should be mindful of transportation issues and work with all the stakeholders to ensure that the project does not unduly detract from the aesthetics and quality of life enjoyed by current Alamedans. The planning process for development of Alameda point should have enough flexibility to consider new ideas and concerns, in order to avoid the 'it's too late to change it' mindset that characterized the Cineplex project.
